Even though this was excluded from the HTO summit, I have seen him and his wife personally, and both had worked on me in FL, when we went to the Gainesville, FL Clear Passage location.  They also taught a lot of this to my husband, who still to this day will do some of the deep massage and fascial release. And I, too, do some self-work from time to time in areas that I can reach myself.  Also make use of the Ashley Black Guru Fascia Blaster, which has broken up fascial adhesion closer to the surface area under the skin.  The result from that is lost inches.

How Shivan overcame her digestive disorders! The bewildering, frustrating, anxiety-ridden roller coaster...

Ever been told you have "stomach troubles?"

Even though Shivan Sarna was plagued with "stomach troubles" throughout her childhood, her pediatrician never gave it much attention. Her mom and dad, on the other hand, were determined to find her relief.

When Shivan was 15 years old, her mother consulted with a functional nutritionist -- it helped change their perspective on how food impacts overall health.

But her journey didn't stop there.

As she got older, her "troubles" kept her reaching for solutions in any way or place she could find: acupuncture, steroid shots, Ayurvedic medicine, massage, reflexology, cranial sacral... the list goes on and on.

Shivan tried almost everything she could think of to get rid of her issues, but with limited success.

Shivan describes this time in her life as "a bewildering, frustrating, anxiety-ridden roller coaster filled with high hopes and crushing disappointment," which, to hear other SIBO survivors tell it, is exactly how they feel.

This was all going on while she was having an amazing life by many measures: yoga studio, a fantastic marriage and a flourishing career on TV. Throughout it all her pain persisted, but she never gave up trying to find out what was going on with her health.

It wasn't until 2015 that she learned SIBO was the underlying cause of her digestive struggles.

Once diagnosed, Shivan finally found the relief she needed.

She also realized that millions around the world were suffering the same as she once did.

I’m grateful to be a featured speaker on the first day of the The IBS & SIBO SOS™ Summit. Please click here to join me today along many of the global leaders on this topic.

When I opened my Practice on Valentine’s Day in 1980, the most common functional problem we would identify in patients was a dysfunctional Ileo-Cecal Valve (ICV). Some were stuck open, some closed. But we’d find it all the time. This condition is notorious for causing many types of gut dysfunction, and headaches, and fatigue, and joint pain, and…… It was the first of many body imbalances that seemed to have the ability to affect many different areas of the body. Looking back on those days today, I know that ‘if the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail’. Now we know so much more. No question about the dysfunction of an ileo-cecal valve. And treating the condition with reflex stimulation, acupuncture points, etc… almost always would bring relief. TEMPORARILY.
